The Outstanding Scholar Award is given to applicants who we feel are utilizing their studies in promising ways, and show innovative and creative ideas for how they plan to build on their studies to bring healing and safety to our communities.
Liliana is a Mixtec student currently finishing her bachelor's degree in Women and Gender Studies and double minor in Ethnic & Indigenous Studies at Colorado State University. She is also part of the ISTAR (Indigenous Science Tech Arts and Resilience) program that serves the Native community in Fort Collins, as well as a volunteer on the Victim Assistance Team Hotline. Liliana joined SBI as an Outreach Intern in fall 2022.
