The Judge Claudette White Memorial Award is given to applicants who are pursuing a law degree or a college degree with the goal of a career in Inidan child welfare. Each Judge Claudette White Memorial Award is given with a $500 honorarium.
Erin Tail is a mixed Oglala/ Tsitsis’tas/ Tsalagi youth, holding hands with Ancestors while taking steps forward upon the Red Road. Erin is studying and earning a master’s level degree in multicultural counseling and individual/ family counseling, while remaining strong in connection to ceremony and kinship. They spend their free time practicing and learning new beading techniques with their mom, while also following a call to creative writing.
