The Outstanding Scholar Award is given to applicants who we feel are utilizing their studies in promising ways, and show innovative and creative ideas for how they plan to build on their studies to bring healing and safety to our communities.
DANITA PLENTYHOLES
Danita is Ute, Muskogee Creek/Seminole, Sac and Fox, and Oglala Lakota. As a child she was raised on the Ute Mountain Ute and Pine Ridge Indian Reservations. Her life’s experiences have led her to pursue an education in Psychology. She is currently enrolled as a full time student at Central New Mexico Community College and has a passion for her people.
